Your First Time at Severn Run

How should I dress? At Severn Run, you come as you are. You will see individuals dressed in suits and dresses as well as jeans and T-shirts.

Who attends? It would be easier to say who doesn’t. We have young and old, single and married, those with and without children, and various races and ethnic backgrounds. While the majority of our members are families with children and teenagers; there is also a large of group young married and singles of all ages.

Where do I park? For your first time at Severn Run we recommend parking on the East Side of the building near the Worship Center entrance. As you enter the campus from Hwy. 170 drive toward the rear of the campus and take the second left turn. We have reserved parking for you near the Worship Center entrance. After attending a few times you may find parking in another lot may be better for you.

Where do I go? Once you enter the building at the Worship Center entrance you will find our Atrium. Here you will find our Welcome Center and several helpful volunteers. They will be able to direct you to the Worship Center, Children’s Area, Student Center, Classrooms, and Restrooms. If you have a question they can find the answer for you.

What is the worship like? Worship at Severn Run is a God-centered gathering that includes Scripture-based messages that both challenge and encourage. The music is contemporary in style and varied in content from praise and worship, scripture songs, and hymns. The use of dance, art, drama, and video are used on a regular basis.

Where do my children go? We have a vibrant Kid’s City worship for your elementary age children to enjoy. They enjoy interactive, high-energy sermons teaching them the basics of God’s Word. For more information about the Children’s Ministry click here.

What is in store for my Teenager? Severn Run Youth “180 Worship” meet on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. Before and after service, they can hang out in the Student Lounge filled with video games, air hockey, fooseball and other games. On Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings there are student discipleship groups that meet for more in-depth study and discussion. Students also enjoy getting together for various monthly activities and outings.

Who will be working with my children? Not only do we have policies and procedures in place, but we also do a complete background check on everyone who works with children and teenagers.

Is the church handicap accessible? Yes. There are plenty of reserved parking spaces on each side of the building. The auditorium has seating available specifically for wheelchairs and handicap accessible restrooms. If at anytime you need assistance please stop by the Welcome Cente
