The Kids at Severn Run Ministries seek to serve the entire family. Each week we work hard to intentionally create a loving and safe environment where your kids can develop positive, relational connections and be creatively taught God’s Word on a level they can understand. We also offer parental resources to help you continue to teach values and Biblical life lessons at home. We hope to reach as many Kids & Families as possible at Severn Run and be a place of spiritual nurture for your little ones!
On this page you will learn about:
What to Expect
Your kids learn to age appropriately worship, connect, serve, and share according to God’s Word with other kids their age. We focus on family worship, building healthy families, and loving others with grace and compassion.
When you drop your kids off, you will sign them in, and place their nametag on their clothing. You may then take them to their classroom where a friendly group of vetted ministry volunteers will teach your child while you enjoy the worship service or another church event. At time for pick up, simply present your tag ensuring that your child is paired with you for departure. Be sure to ask them about what they learned each week!
Our Weekend Experience
Our weekend Kids Ministry classes are divided into three age groups located in two general areas on the Severn Run Campus. These classes take place in concurrence with our Sunday worship services at 9:30 AM, 11:00 AM, and 12:30 PM.
Start at the Junior Welcome Desk by The Neighborhood. This is where you can register your child, check in, and get any information you need from our friendly and helpful volunteers and staff.
Discovery Park (Birth-Pre-K)
Discovery Park offers care and ministry to our families with Pre-School aged children and younger. It is located downstairs and specific classroom information is located at check-in stations as well as at the information area.
Uptown (Kindergarten-4th Grades)
Located upstairs, Uptown offers care and ministry to our families with children in Kindergarten to 4th grade. Kids will participate in a large group worship consisting in worship, drama and video as well as small groups where learning activities are utilized to teach how to apply Biblical values in everyday life.
Club 56 (5th & 6th Grades)
Club 56 is located upstairs, and is a group for 5th and 6th graders. This program focuses on establishing a personal relationship with Jesus.
KidTime is a time for younger kids when the adults in the family are attending a church event or Connect Group outside of worship where childcare is provided. You will generally need to sign your children up for KidTime in conjunction with the event you are attending.
