Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a project of Samaritan’s Purse, is the world’s largest Christmas outreach of its kind. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered gift-filled shoeboxes to over 124 million children affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, and other crises in more than 150 countries and territories. Severn Run loves to partner with OCC to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who receive shoebox gifts.

National Collection Week at The Church at Severn Run is Nov 12-19.  Drop off your packed shoe boxes at any of the following times:

  • Monday, 11/12 • 11 AM to 7 PM

  • Tuesday, 11/13 • 4 PM to 7 PM

  • Wednesday, 11/14 • 11 AM to 4 PM

  • Thursday, 11/15 • 11 AM to 7 PM

  • Friday, 11/16 • 11 AM to 5 PM

  • Saturday, 11/17 • 11 AM to 4 PM

  • Sunday, 11/18 • 2 PM to 6 PM

  • Monday, 11/19 • 11 AM to 4 PM

If you are unable to pack a shoebox, or would like to help beyond that, sign up to be a part of our Collection Week Volunteer Staff. We process thousands of boxes from our area and send them to the Baltimore Processing Warehouse.

This year our goal is to collect 900 boxes as a community!

Ready to pack your own box? Here's how:

  1. Pick up a box at Severn Run (starting Oct 28), or grab an empty shoebox/shoebox sized container with a lid.

  2. Find in your brochure or download the OCC box labels.

  3. Pick a gender and age range.

  4. Shop for your child. Find great gift suggestions here: Suggested Gifts from OCC.

  5. Pack up your box, don't tape it closed, and bring it back to Severn Run anytime until November 19.
